High water bills and low water pressure can both be signs of a leak in your water supply pipe, and unfortunately it’s something that most of us have to deal with at some point in our lives. Step one: We will send out our surveyor. This service is completely free of charge, and will include a quote sent to you generally the next day via email or post if you prefer. Our quotes include the cost of all labour, plant, materials and reinstatements
Step two: Once you have accepted the quote, we will contact you to organise a suitable date for our engineers to come and repair the leak. This contact will ensure that we secure a date that is good for for you.
Step three: On the day of the repairs, the team will arrive in an easily identifiable van in company uniforms to give you that extra peace of mind as to who they are and that they are there. Prior to doing any work, they will ensure that you know they’ve arrived to help keep you completely informed.
Step four: First of all, the repair will begin by isolating the water supply. Usually this is done by turning off the external stop cock, so you will be without water for the duration of the repair. We will endeavour to keep the time you are unable to use the water to a minimum.
Step five: If the leak is straightforward, they will be able to dig into the ground around the leak until the pipe is exposed.
Step six: After letting any remaining water disperse from the pipe, the engineers will cut out the damaged pipe and replace what has been taken away with a new section of pipe, securing it in place.
Step seven: Turning the stopcock back to on, they will flush the pipe through and make sure that there are no remaining leaks.
Step eight: When they’re happy that the leak has been repaired, our engineers will reinstate the hole that we excavated, and do their best to leave the site in the same condition in which they found it.
